How we handle personal data in connection with this website.

Who we are

Fieldsmith is forward-deployed AI engineering: senior engineers embedded inside enterprise teams to build agentic systems on Claude and AWS. For the purposes of the GDPR, Fieldsmith is the controller of personal data processed through this website.

You can reach us at crew@fieldsmith.eu.

What this site collects

This site sets no cookies, uses no tracking identifiers, and has no forms for you to fill in. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub, Inc. operates the underlying servers and may process your IP address in server logs for security and operational purposes. GitHub is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for this processing.

We use GoatCounter for basic, aggregate visit counts. Per GoatCounter's own documentation, it does not set cookies and does not store personal data — it records anonymised, aggregate page-view numbers only.

When you email or book a call

If you email crew@fieldsmith.eu, that message is handled through Apple's iCloud Mail, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If you book a call using the link on this site, that booking is processed by Cal.com under its own privacy policy; Cal.com is likewise certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We process this correspondence on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps you take prior to entering into a contract with us) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry).

Retention

We keep correspondence for as long as it's needed to manage our business relationship with you or to meet a legal obligation, and delete it once neither applies.

Your rights

Under Art. 15–21 GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to our processing of it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
